Route : Hanoi – Mai Chau – Mu Cang Chai – Sapa – Hanoi
Day start with a pick up at your hotel at 8 AM. Transfer to Mai Chau on a 4 hour drive. Short break half way at the local market of the Muong ethnic minority to learn about their daily life and customs or enjoy the panoramic scenery at top of Thung Khe pass known as one of the 10 most beautiful passes in Vietnam. Reach Mai Chau valley at lunchtime.
After lunch, chance for you to visit the real local Thai traditional stilt house before cycling to villages of the Thai ethnic minority to learn about their daily lives and culture. Stop by a local village to learn about cloth weaving as a traditional handicraft. Get picked up by car and move to hidden Buoc Village. After check-in the local lodge there, enjoy your sunset by the swimming pool, or cycle and walk around the village. Dinner at the lodge with the local people.
A full day transfer to Mu Cang Chai where you stay in the middle of emerald ricefield and mingle with Thai people.
After breakfast, get ready for the longest trek of the trip, from Kim Noi village to Hang Dang De then to Che Cu Nha. Picnic lunch on the rice terraces before continuing to La Pan Tan where you will be picked up and driven back. Finish an adventurous 17-km full day trek.
Say goodbye to this rural part and hit the road again to Sapa. Chance for you to experience O Qui Ho pass, the greatest part in North of Vietnam which is nearly 2000m above sea level. You will be awarded with a sense of adventure and gergous landscape at the top of the pass known as Heaven’s gate. Lunch in Sapa.
Afternoon is time for you to discover dreamy Sapa town on your own with many famous places like Ham Rong mountain, Old Stone church, Sapa market…etc.
A full day 17-18 km trek will reward you with an up and down winding journey through some poetic terraced rice fields of the Black Hmong people from Y Linh Ho. Chance to cast an eye over daily activities of local people. Come across some local schools to see the friendly waving hands of native Hmong and Yao children. Lunch in Ta Van village before trekking to a romantic old hanging bridge crossing Muong Hoa river.
A whole day motobiking leads you to hidden parts of this mountainous region. Chance to discover Sapa with a fun unique ride on non-touristy trails. Back to Sapa after a full adventurous day.
After breakfast, explore Ta Phin village which is set amongst the rice terrace, home to Hmong and Red Yao people. Lunch in Ta Phin before get back to Hanoi on 5-hour drive.
